Lifework is a powerful retrospective album that captures the songwriting journey of Peter Trott across more than three decades. Spanning from one of his earliest compositions, Your Woman’s Crying (written in 1991 at the age of 21), to Back With You (written in 2025 at 55), the album represents 34 years of creative evolution.
Chronological in nature, Lifework explores universal themes of love, heartbreak, growth, and transformation through a collection of rock, pop, and indie-inspired songs. Each track reflects a distinct moment in time, together forming an honest and deeply personal musical narrative.
“All eleven songs began as home-recorded demos, some dating back to cassette four-track recordings. While the songs were there, the production never matched modern standards. They carried the emotion, but not the sound I always heard in my head. Using AI tools, I’ve been able to revisit those original recordings, bring them out of obscurity, and finally give them the sound and life they always deserved, and let them exist in the way they were meant to.” Peter
